MERIDIAN, Idaho (CBS2) — A 21-year-old Caldwell woman accused of lewd conduct and taking illicit photos and videos of children while they were in her care is on the run from authorities.
Last year, Meridian Police arrested Karla Ester Ramirez. She was charged with five counts of lewd conduct and six counts of sexual exploitation of a child. Officials say Ramirez posted a $750,000 bond in March 2021. A warrant listing on the Ada County Sheriff's page says it was issued Jan. 3.
"It was discussed in the last court hearing that the defendant had tampered with her ankle monitor," the Ada Conty Prosecutor's office told CBS2.
Family members of the alleged victims have set up a Facebook page dedicated to spreading the word about the warrant and list a $10,000 reward for information that results in an arrest.
Ramirez is facing a total of 11 charges related to the original case.
